Our Story

Proudly Serving the Greater Columbus, Indiana Area as a Locally Owned, Veteran Operated Family business Since 1997.

Advantage Heating and Air Conditioning was started by Bill Stott in December of 1997. His mission was simple, to provide the highest quality, dependable, and trustworthy service possible to his customers. Bill got his start in the HVAC industry as a Machinist Mate in the Navy.
Prior to starting Advantage, Bill worked for a heating and cooling company that was failing its customers. He also heard stories of other companies providing poor service or trying to sell them things they didn’t need. That is when he realized that Columbus needed an honest company that put the customers first. His first service call was on Christmas Eve at a home with no heat. He worked through the night to get the heat back up and running. This set the tone for Advantage’s future. Bill has instilled his passion to please people and do whatever it takes in the company. Our company is human. We make mistakes every now and then. What separates us is how we deal with those mistakes. We first admit it, then we learn and grow from it. Most of all we do whatever it takes to make it right with the customer. Our customers are the backbone of our company and our employees are the heart. We believe that we have assembled one of the finest teams of heating and cooling experts in the country.
